Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 June 2026

Overview

Equadle is a free, browser-based daily puzzle game. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data is collected, by whom, and how it is used. The short version: we do not collect any personal information about you.

Data we collect

We collect no personal data directly. Specifically:

  • There are no user accounts or sign-up forms.
  • We do not use advertising networks or behavioural tracking tools.
  • We do not use cookies.
  • We do not collect your name, email address, IP address, or any other personally identifiable information.

Cloudflare analytics

Equadle is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare automatically collects aggregate, anonymised web analytics such as page view counts, unique visitor estimates, country-level traffic data, and browser/device type breakdowns. This data is used solely to understand overall site usage and improve performance.

Cloudflare's analytics do not track individual users across sessions or sites, and no personally identifiable information is stored. For full details, see Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Local storage

Equadle stores your game state (current puzzle progress, guess history, statistics, and theme preference) in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for equadle.com.

Buy Me a Coffee

The site includes a voluntary "Buy Me a Coffee" support button, which loads a script from cdnjs.buymeacoffee.com. This is a third-party service and is subject to Buy Me a Coffee's own privacy policy. Clicking the button takes you to an external site; we have no control over data collected there.

Third-party links

This site may contain links to third-party websites (e.g. Buy Me a Coffee). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies before submitting any information.

Children's privacy

Equadle does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Because we collect no personal data at all, the game is safe for general audiences.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
